CNN confuses black and white flag covered in sex toy symbols for that of ISIS during London Gay Pride parade

LagosgistCNN has mistaken a flag displaying sex toy symbols for that of the terrorist organisation Islamic State ISIS in a report it aired on London's Gay Pride parade. In an 'exclusive' report which ran on Saturday, a CNN correspondentLucy Pawle, went on air to claim she was the only one to notice an ISIS jihad flag being waved among gay pride crowds. But to the broadcaster's embarrassment, the satirical flag was covered not with Arabic lettering, but symbols of sex toys. Lagosgist 'If you look at the flag closely, it's clearly not Arabic, in fact it looks like it could be goobledegook, but it's very distinctive - the ISIS flag.' Pawle then states that she appears to be 'the only person' to notice the extremist flag being waved on London's Regent St. 'I seem to be the only person who had spotted this, and nobody seems to be raising any questions or pointing it out, so I immediately went to an events organiser who said he didn't know anything about it. 'I also spoke to the police nearby, who weren't aware either.' However, viewers quickly went on Twitter to correct the journalist's error. Lagosgist

Dele Momodu's lamentation memo and the hypocritical character of President Buhari's supporters: PDP Media Watchdog

LagosgistPress statement from PDP Media Watchdog ThePDPMediaWatchdoghas described as hypocritical the recent memo purportedly written by Dele Momodu to President Muhammad Buhari in which he expressed his disappointment over the incompetent policies and programs of the government of APC in the last four weeks. The political pressure group in a statement issued on Saturday, June 27, 2015 after the weekly meetings in Abuja once again reminded Nigerians of the non preparedness of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive Congress to govern Nigeria. The group stated that the submission from Dele Momodu is only a reflection of the general realization and dissatisfaction in the minds and heart of some major stakeholders in the APC of the mistake they made in making Buhari President of Nigeria. "Like the popular saying, had I know always comes last. We read with pity the memo from Dele Momodu to President Buhari and it reminded us of what we have earlier said in one of our statements that the APC's broom stick voodoo did a lot of magic not only to non APC members in Nigeria but to even APC's hard core supporters" the group said. The group said that Nigerians should expect more of such open lamentations from leaders and supporters of the APC and other king makers and advised the APC to quickly surrender the mandate given to them by the people. "When we called on President Buhari to resign due to his honest complain that age will limit his progress as the President of Nigeria, we were called all sorts of names by the APC spokesman, Lai Mohammed. However, events in the last few days at the National Assembly and the content of Dele Momodu's memo is another subtle call by his own party chieftains to President Buhari to immediately surrender the mandate if he cannot deliver as promised. A reply to Joy Oforka's Letter to Future Husband

LagosgistReply toFutureWife' (the world is not easy for any sexes) by George Nsima. Read below... Dear Future Wife, I got your letter and was very compelled to reply. On the story of Rhoda, you should have realized by now that the world will always look for someone to blame! It is not a sex thing, it is a world thing! A woman insults a family relative and the husband is blamed for not telling her to respect his relatives or Governor Adams marriage to a beautiful lady and the world replies that he wooed her with money. Rhoda as with many other ladies like her are the few examples that shows that ladies are the scapegoat. The recent case with Toke Makinwa says otherwise. Maje Ayida's instagram wall was and I believe is still flooding with insults. My sweetest future honey-bun, the funny truth that I hope you realize is that you have always had the upper hand! If a man scolds a lady in 'civilized' public, the public defends the lady and calls the mans actions 'ungentlemanly' but if the tables are turned the man is ridiculed as a bum. I am not trying make an argument of who suffers more, the truth is 60% of domestic violence is suffered by women but the world talks about that a lot and forgets that there is a 40% being suffered by men too! Yes, we will teach our kids that 'rights are not demanded' neither are wrongs justifiable on the basis of gender. We will also let them know that the world will always have something to say against you regardless of your sex. Please dear, I left my very serious hustle to reply this letter. At the end of the day it all boils down to the understanding between the two individuals in the relationship. We can have better and I hope we have the best. With kisses, Your Future Husband
