“Travis really digs Rihanna and believes he can have a future with her. He’s had many women in his life, but none of them compare to how sexy, intelligent and loving Rihanna is,” our source tells Hollywoodlife.com EXCLUSIVELY. But the Houston based rapper is afraid of breaking the bro code when it comes to dating the “Diamonds” singer.
“He’s very aware of her emotional attachment to Chris. Travis knows Chris, and he doesn’t want any issues with him due to the fact that he’s getting close with RiRi. Man to man, Travis wants to talk to Chris and clear the air, as well as get Breezy’s blessing. It’s out of respect for Chris,” our insider shared.

Travis and Rihanna have been showing off PDA during New York Fashion Week. They were even spotted grinding and making out at an after-party. But they have known each other professionally before things turned romantic. Travis was a co-writer on Ri’s hit, “Bitch Better Have My Money!”

“Travis and RiRi have talked about Chris and she told him that he’s a very ‘special person’ in her life and that she will ‘always love him.’ Travis thinks that’s noble of them to have that connection, and he just wants to make sure Breezy is cool with his connection to Rihanna” our source shared.

“Plus, the music biz is very small. Everyone knows everyone. And Travis wants to work with Chris in the future and doesn’t want his dating Rihanna to become a future problem in his career,” our insider tells us. It makes sense that if Travis wants to collaborate with Chris, Breezy needs to be okay with him dating his former love. It’s going to be a tricky situation for everyone involved.

2face Idibia to release book 'A Very Good Bad Guy' The title of the book

Legendary Nigerian singer 2Face Idibia is planning on releasing a book.

The title of the book is 'A Very Good Bad Guy'. The book will be published by NET NG. 'A Very Good Bad Guy' was edited by Ayeni Adekunle Samuel, publisher of NET NG.

The book will be released on Friday, September 18, 2015.

The book is to be a part of 2face's 40th birthday celebrations. Called ‘Fortyfied’, the celebrations will include a concert, a flag off party at club Rumours, and more.

2face Idibia will be 40 on September 18, 2015.

2face Idibia, is set to hold a concert for his 40 birthday which falls on September 18, 2015.

The celebration concert, which he has themed the ‘FORTYfied All-Star Tribute Concert’, is the subject of huge planning and promotion.

The event will hold at the Eko Hotel Convention Center on Sunday, September 20, 2015, and will be anchored by Nigeria's comedy icon, Basketmouth.

Artistes slated to perform include; Burna Boy, D’banj, veteran highlife musician Dr Victor Olaiya, Sound Sultan, Wizkid, fellow Plantshun Boiz group member Blackface, Seyi Shay, Vector, Timaya, Wande Coal, Omawumi, Patoranking, 9ice and others.

Rihanna now dating Travis Scott

It has been confirmed that the 23yrs old Texas-born producer Travis Scott is now chilling under Rihanna’s umbrella.

According to reports by Usweekly. The two lovers has been photographed out and about at various New York Fashion Week shindigs getting extremely close and cozy in each other’s arms.

During a private dinner hosted by the 'BBHMM' hit-maker on Wednesday, sept. 9, Scott wrapped his arms around Rihanna and held her in an embrace flushing her with kisses.

Before now the popstar was in hot romance with formula one race car champ Lewis Hamilton, and prior to that Karim Benzema and Leonardo DiCaprio. Guess she kicked them out in the rain.

The winners and losers of Psquare VS Soundcity

Paul and Peter Okoye, the magical musical duo f Psquare are arguably th most loved acts of Africa. They are on par with 2face Idibia, have more consistency than D’banj, show more class and longevity than Wizkid and Davido. Over a decade of being at the top of the music game has made them musical gods.

Last week, they went head-on with one of the most recognised broadcast stations in Africa, Soundcity TV, and the feud had all the makings of good sport. There were first shots, retaliations, intrigue, messy pasts, mischief, and opinions. Simply put, it was a reporters dream. Controversy and publicised fights are the stuff of sensational journalism, and seeing the unfold felt like Christmas arriving early for pressmen.

But in that game, there were winners and losers. The gains and losses of a great fight are always relative. There is really no victor, nor vanquished, just , erm, gains and losses.

The relationship between the media and the celebrities is one of mutualism. The stars need the media to get their activities out. The media need the stars to keep their business running.

This fight highlights the growing chasm that exists between the modern popular TV and celebrities - the people who have become an indispensable part of content generation. It hasn’t always been this way. There was a time when stars were not only not afraid to enjoy the company of TV, but eager to do so. But times have change.

With the tremendous growth of the internet, and the popularity of Entertainment on demand, TV stations, who have long been gatekeepers of content have seen their powers wane and diminish. This has made the once invincible powers of media such as Soundcity, look ordinary and limited. Throw in the stiff competition that exists in the media space, and it becomes even dire for them.

Psqaure are the big winners of this battle. They took on Soundcity, exposed the pettiness that exists within their setup, made them all cringe and respond to their twitter rants. With the cult following that they enjoy, they also might have taken off a viewer or two from Soundcity. Factor in the great press that they enjoy, and you would begin to get an idea of the gains they have made.

They are relevant enough to upset Soundcity.

The only loss they suffer is the lack of airtime on Soundcity. Which they have suffered with minimum impact on their career.

Soundcity also did make gains. They were successful in displaying the power they have in choosing not to promote an artiste. Mess with them, and you lose valuable play time. Their methods might be petty and lacking in professionalism, but it is ‘their method’. No one can dictate otherwise, or have an input in how they run their business. That is strength.

Many will point to their withholding of quality content from their viewers as a weakness, but if analysed properly, they truly don’t need Psquare. The absence of the duo was not noticed by many. And this is in part, caused by the unending variety of content that exist in the market.

For the strength they gained, they also lost in image perception. Pettiness is a weakness, especially when it is utilised at the expense of professionalism and gain. They have put themselves first rather than their customers, and that is a failure in ethics.

Ultimately, Soundcity and Psquare don’t need each other. They have the expansion of both the media and content generators to thank for that.

Today marks the 19 anniversary of the death of one of the greatest icons of world Hip-hop, Tupac Shakur.

A hip-hop legend, with explicit and controversial lyrics, Tupac Shakur was embroiled in a feud between East Coast and West Coast rappers.

Born in New York City in 1971, Shakur has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world.

Most of Tupac's songs are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, other social problems and conflicts with other rappers during the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry.

Shakur was shot and killed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1996.

PHCN Official Electrocuted On A Pole At Police College In Lagos (Photos)

An official of the Ikeja Distribution Company (IKDC) was found on a electric police after been electrocuted today.
According to the source, she said the PHCN official was noticed when he was not moving after about 15 minutes.

The electric pole is just right in front of the police college in Ikeja,Lagos.
Policemen came to the rescue and he was moved to a nearby hospital before he was confirmed dead.

Meet the Beautiful Girl who was Nigeria’s First Test-Tube Baby

17 years after she was born through In Vitro Fertilisation, IVF, Nigeria’s first test tube baby, Miss Hannatu Kupchi, has secured admission into a Hungarian University to study medicine.
The medical doctor that supervised the first IVF experiment in Nigeria, Dr. Ibrahim Wada, said Hannatu’s birth on February 11, 1998, at Nisa Premier Hospital in Abuja, signalled a revolution in the practice of medicine in Nigeria.

“When I was out of this country, I knew there were people who wanted babies. I made the decision to come back to Nigeria to help people. It happened on February 11, 1998 when this historic event occurred in this hospital,”

Said Dr. Wada while speaking in Abuja at a brief reception and presentation of an award to Miss Kupchi. Responding, Kupchi promised to break barriers and become a doctor in order to help families and parents who are unable to give birth through the traditional means.
She said by her birth, misconceptions about IVF were broken and that many more children had been brought into this world as well.
“I barely made it beyond the cut off mark. God helped me. I am going to try my best and make everyone proud. I am studying medicine because I want to be a doctor. I want to study it because I want God to use me to help families who suffer what my parents went through,” she said.
In his remarks, father of Hannatu, Mr. Hosea Kupchi, said, “We had 13 years of marriage without a child and we went through the orthodox method without any success. But along the line, my sister-in-law told me that there was one Dr. Wada that had been helping couples. That is how we came.”
